The McAlpine Bottle trap is available in 1¼” and 1½” sizes, product codes A10 and C10 respectively. McAlpine were the innovators of the A10 and C10 bottle traps in 1957 and since then, everybody recognises McAlpine as the market leader in this respect. The trap base is easily removed for cleaning and maintenance, no special tool is needed, it is simply done by hand.

The Multifit Compression Outlet suits all plastic, copper and lead pipes. This is done to leave maximum flexibility to the plumber and his chosen system. Furthermore, these traps are manufactured in polypropylene and are ensured to conform to BS EN 274-1:2002 standards.

These bottle traps are still completely viable even 70 years after their original release. However, McAlpine do have an updated version of this product which extends the traps functionality to be adjustable as well as anti-siphon features. These can be found under SKU codes A10A, A10V and A10AV.
