Jackoboard Sealing Tape is waterproof, made from an artificial carrier fleece coated in the centre with a grey thermoplastic elastomer. It is used for sealing intersections in Jackoboard Plano Tile Backer Board. Examples range from corners, pipe connections and butt joints in wet areas. These include wet rooms, bathrooms and shower areas that are regularly exposed to water. Also used for creating waterproof perimeter joints from Jackoboard Pre-Formed Shower Trays to surrounding materials, such as screed and plasterboard, etc. Note that this is the Self-Adhesive version of this tape, meant to be used for easier application.
This tape measures 120mm in width, available in 50 metre rolls and 10 metre rolls, internal corners and external corners. The internal and external corner pieces are designed to provide an easy, prefabricated solution for complete waterproof sealing.
Jackoboard Sealing Tape, Corners & Pipe Collars are designed to be embedded in either the Jackoboard Waterproofing Membrane. This is a pre-mixed slurry waterproof coating, or the cement-based 2-part waterproofing slurry that is part of the Jackoboard 2K Waterproof Sealing Kit.
